Overview:
This one-day symposium reviewed the discovery of the J/psi resonance, which launched the modern era of particle physics.
The symposium reviewed the lead-up to the discovery, the observations from BNL, SLAC, and Frascati, and the continuing influence of this discovery, with reminiscences from many of the participants.
Brookhaven National Laboratory also celebrated the J/ψ discovery with a symposium on November 22nd, 2024
