Remembering Bj: a Symposium in Honor of James Bjorken

Date:
November 9, 2024
Location:
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
Overview:
James D. Bjorken (1934-2024) was a giant of theoretical physics. Beyond his original contributions to all aspects of particle physics, Bj personified the idea that progress in physics is driven by the pure joy of exploration. This symposium brings together many of Bj's friends and colleagues to review his life and work.
Please note that, on the previous day, Nov. 8, SLAC hosted a symposium celebrating the 50th anniversary of the J/psi discovery.
